First Time Appointments and Registration

Why do I need to register at Apollo Colombo ?

Registration helps us to maintain your medical history, which is kept at the hospital and is strictly confidential. This medical record is then retrieved each time you need treatment at our hospital.

How do I register at Apollo Colombo ?

Our registration desk are located at the main entrance as you enter the hospital. You will be required to take a few minutes to complete our registration form and wait while one of our registration executives will enter your details in to our system. Please give the correct and full details to ensure the data we keep in our system is complete.

The Registration executives will guide you through the process of meeting the consultant of your choice. Once you have 'registered' please make a note of your Hospital No. for future appointments and enquires at the hospital.

Payments for appointments

You will then be required to pay for your registration and first appointment at our Billing counter which is conveniently located next to the registrations desks. You will be given a bill to take with, you to the Out Patients Department (OPD).
Please show your bill to the OPD reception and confirm you appointment with them, so they can the double check your appointment and inform the Doctor of your arrival.
How much is the registration fee?
We have a one off registration fee of LKR 250 payable at the time of registration.
Coming to Apollo Hospital without an Appointment

If you arrive at our hospital without an appointment we will try our best to attend to your medical needs as quickly as possible, if you require urgent treatment our either through our Emergency services department, otherwise our Hospital offers a walk-in GP service and we will try to find you an appointment based on the availability of our consultants at the time.
 
Patient Medical Records

We keep your medical records on file and also give you a personal medical history folder to file all of your duplicate medical records in. Your registration details, billing history and test results direct from the lab are integrated on our internal computer system for Doctors to access from inpatient department. All patient data and records are kept strictly confidential to maintain your privacy.

Each time you visit the hospital with a pre-booked appointment, we retrieve your file ready for your consultant with the Doctor or specialist.

Canceling or changing your appointment

To cancel or reschedule your appointment please contact our Outpatient Appointments Department on

Please give 24 hrs notice, so we can advise your Doctor.

Things you will need to bring with you: Your Medical Registration Number (if you already have one).
Any relevant documentation, e.g. letter of referral, private medical insurance documentation or letter of guarantee. If you have insurance it is advisable to call your Insurance Company to confirm your level of cover.
If your account is being guaranteed by a company or embassy, please ensure that the Letter of Guarantee has been received by the Hospital prior to your arrival. If this is not possible, please bring it with you. Please note that without a letter of guarantee you may be asked to pay for the tests yourself.
Undergoing diagnostic tests:

If you need a diagnostic test as a result of your consultation, you should be able to go to diagnostics and you’re your test / s on the same day.
Getting your results:

The Diagnostics department will advise you when your results will be ready. Scans are normally the same day. Tests for our Lab normally take 24-48hrs. In case where we have to send tests away for analysis this can take up to 2 weeks. Your Doctor will advise you at the time of your consultation how soon after your he/she will want to see you again, to review the results.
