About Health Check

The Health Check Clinic is a centre of excellence that pioneered health screening in Sri Lanka for normally fit people, as a proactive lifestyle choice for the early detection of disease. Here, you will have an opportunity to meet several consultant physicians who will assess any potential to develop conditions and how to proceed. Regular health checks can not only prevent and detect diseases, but can save lives too. A 12 member team of healthcare professionals led by Dr K.T Iraivan provide expert guidance.

Services

Health check packages have been designed to meet requirements of different people, grouped by sex, age, disease, etc. We can design special tailor made plan if so required. At the first consultation, the patient will be counselled on the most appropriate package for them. Only at Lanka Hospitals is the patient given two consultations with specialists as part of their package, with the second one at a follow up meeting, where further tests are requested if necessary. All the basic tests are performed within the Clinic area with special tests performed at the respective OPDs as dedicated appointments. Client schedules are streamlined to expedite the whole process.

Before your Health Check

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLIENTS

• Fasting for 12 hours prior to appointment
• Bring a sample of urine (for all packages) and a stool sample (except for Diabetic / well women packages).
• Breakfast will be provided at Lanka Hospitals Health Check and please bring all your prescribed medicine (if any) to be taken after breakfast.
• Wear walking shoes for treadmill test.
• Wear clothes which are comfortable for physical examination and treadmill test.
• Preparation for Eye consultation:
  If spectacles are being used remember to bring them when you come for the check up. If contact lenses are used please remove them prior to the eye check up.
• Review with reports will be done 2 days after the health check up by one of our medical specialists. You will be informed the time and date by Lanka Hospitals.
