Our Structure The Hospital is owned by Lanka Hospitals Corporation (PVT) Ltd., and the board of eight directors meets at regular intervals to monitor and discuss future plans for the hospital. Our hospital is the largest private hospital in Sri Lanka and it has the best-equipped facilities on the island. All of our medical departments and administration offices are centrally run from one location, here at the hospital. This includes the Chief Executive Officer, members of the Executive Committee, the Purchasing Departments, Management Accounts, Marketing, and Human Resources. We also have staff accommodation at the hospital for our expatriate nurses, doctors and administrative staff. There are 350 beds, 5 operating theatres, 4 full intensive care facilities and a busy Outpatient Departments (OPD). Our hospital offers a walk-in GP service and 24 hour accident and emergency service. The doctors are supported by our diagnostic lab services around the clock. We have over 140 Consultants, many of whom have practiced internationally in the India, UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand, and we encourage hospital staff from overseas to work with us. The Executive Committee manages the day-to-day running of the hospital and has responsibility for specific functional areas for each, e.g. Medical services, Administration, Nursing, Finance and Quality Assurance. Our main entrance is on the Elvitigala Mawatha road and there is also a side entrance on Park Road. Most Taxi’s drivers speak English and will be able to bring you to the hospital.
