BLOOD CANCER SURVIVORS DAY AT LANKA HOSPITALS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SRI LANKA
Patients who received treatment at Lanka Hospitals recently gathered for a Blood Cancer Survivors day, where they showcased their talents in music and dancing; while some even shared their personal experiences, challenges and the journeys they have experienced in life as patients. The entire event was held in a very quiet and a private manner where a lot of encouragement was given and shared amongst themselves. Discussions and views were exchanged on how to strengthen themselves in order to stay strong during such hard and trying times. Initiated by a patient herself the Blood Cancer Survivors day was a great success as it brought a lot of encouragement to all who were present where hope and faith were entrusted to most who believed that there was no cure for blood cancer.
In current times with statistics of Sri Lankan individuals being diagnosed with cancer every day, Blood Cancer is known to be the most feared.
